Many of us believe that ALL foods are definitely better preserved in the refrigerator, although we rarely take into account that there is a TIME LIMIT for this.
Do not forget that sight and smell are often not completely reliable when it comes to knowing if a food is still edible or not.
Egg, chicken, ham, tuna and pasta salads
You never put them in the fridge, they don’t freeze well. You can leave it in the refrigerator for 3 to 5 days at a temperature of 39.2° F.
Raw meat: bacon, raw chicken meat, pork
Bacon needs a separate mention. It can last in the refrigerator for 7 days at a temperature of 39.2° F or less. If placed inside the freezer at a temperature of zero degrees Celsius or less, it can last up to a month.
In the case of meats the same temperatures are handled, the variation is in the days. They can be kept in the refrigerator for 1 to 2 days and in the freezer for 1 to 2 months.
Burger, ground beef, turkey, veal, pork, lamb and mix of all of them
At a temperature of 39.2° F or less, it can be kept in the refrigerator. It is kept in the freezer (at zero degrees Celsius or less) for 3 to 4 months.
Fresh beef, veal, lamb and pork arne
In this section it is important to divide into three parts: fillets, chops and roast meats. As far as fillets are concerned, they can be kept in the refrigerator for 3 to 5 days. In the fridge they can be from 6 months to 1 year. In both cases, the temperature ranges mentioned at the beginning of the article are handled.
When it comes to chops, the times are more or less similar. They can be in the refrigerator for 3 to 5 days, but in the freezer only for 4 to 6 months.
As far as roast meats are concerned, they are kept for 3 to 5 days in the refrigerator and in the fridge for 4 to 12 months.
Fresh poultry meat (chicken or turkey)
In this area it is important to divide whether it is whole or in pieces. In the first case, the duration in the refrigerator is 1 to 2 days and in the freezer 1 year. For the second case, the times vary: in the refrigerator it lasts from 1 to 2 days and in the freezer 9 months.
The ideal time in the refrigerator is 3 to 4 days; in the freezer it can last from 1 to 2 months.
Cooked red or white meats
They are kept in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 days; in the freezer for 2 to 6 months.
Chicken croquettes or medallions
They are kept in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 days; in the freezer for 1 to 3 months.
